Village water should be drinkable

For several weeks now, Swanton drinking water has had a moldy smell and taste. Why have we not been notified about this problem? The water is unfit for drinking and even cooking in it produces the moldy taste in the food. It seems to me that the Water Department should have let us know about this problem as soon as it happened. And, we should know how long this is going to go on.

Also, why is it that even when our water doesn't have this moldy taste, it doesn't really taste that great? If we eat out anywhere else, the water has a much better flavor. What are other communities doing that our Water Department isn't?

We pay a high premium for water; we should at least be able to drink it.
