James Edward Dennis

James Edward Dennis, 70, of Swanton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, August 7, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 24, 1938 in Wauseon to Mel and Grace (Pontious) Dennis. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Rowe.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Jamie (Bobby) Bogle and Jodi (Dan) Robinson; son, Jeff Dennis; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Gibson, and many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents; loving son, Scott; grandson, Jimi and brother, Charles Dennis.

Friends and family may visit Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419-826-2631). Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with good friend and minister Lonnie Henricks officiating. Interment will follow at Wauseon Union Cemetery.
