Juanita J. Baldwin

Juanita J. Baldwin, 88, of Liberty Center, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee.

Juanita was born Dec. 5, 1919 in Swan Creek Township, Fulton County to the late Orvil and Mabel (Smith) Crosser. She married David Aaron Baldwin on Aug. 28, 1936 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1986.

Four brothers, Wilbur, Vincent, Claire and Clairmont Crosser, one sister, Goldie Yantiss, and one grandson, David Baldwin, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Baldwin was a homemaker and also worked as an assembler at Wauseon Wire Manufacturing for 17 years, retiring in 1981. She attended Bethany Baptist Church, Grand Rapids, and was a member of the Democratic Ladies of Fulton County and the Fulton County Senior Center. Juanita enjoyed garage sales and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly (Harley) Spicer and Ferrel (Charles) Bowers, both of Liberty Center; three sons, Richard (Barbara) Baldwin and Carlton (Chris) Baldwin, both of Liberty Center, and Keith Baldwin, Swanton; fourteen grandchildren; thirty six great grandchildren; and fifteen great-great grandchildren; one sister, Violet (Orville) Lawrence, Inverness, Florida; and one brother, Vern (Barbara) Crosser, Delta.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. in the Wright-Hobbs Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Pastor Tim Coley will preside. Committal services and burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery, Delta.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
