Swanton arrow goes up
Following a long process, the large "Swanton" arrow was installed on Thursday. The large neon sign reads "Swanton" and directs people toward the downtown area.
The refurbished sign is located on the Rite Aid corner of the intersection.
Despite a crane that would not start early Thursday morning, the sign was up by late morning.
The project has been two years in the making and is the result of the efforts or many local businesses, organizations and individuals.
The total cost of the project for labor and materials is estimated to be in excess of $10,000, Toeppe said. All of it was donated by the many supporters of the project.
