Reading A-Z program begins at Crestwood
By ANGELA LUTZ
Crestwood Principal
Our A-Z reading program officially began Monday. This program uses volunteers to mentor students in the area of reading.
Mentors work with student one on one to help improve reading skills. We can always use volunteers to be mentors for out students. If you are interested in becoming a mentor call the office and let us know. You can volunteer for as little as a half an hour once a week and make a huge difference in a student's life!
Exercise classes are being held in the gym every Monday and Wednesday from Sept. 22 through Nov. 26. If you think you may be interested in signing up for the class please stop by and give it a try!
We have been focusing on positive behavior again this year and using our PAWS matrix to reward students for displaying positive behaviors at school. We focus on Pride, Attitude, Work Habits, and Self Control. Our students are off to a great start this year and are making good choices throughout the day.
