Students learn scientific method

By Mrs. Kahl

Science teacher

Mrs. Kahl's sixth grade science classes started out the year learning about the scientific method. As scientists, they used graduated cylinders to find the volume of irregularly shaped solids. Currently, they are studying the differences between chemical and physical changes.

The students have popped popcorn and melted butter to identify the differences between these scientific terms. Upon returning from camp, the students will continue to review chemical and physical changes through a variety of hands-on experimentations.

Please check to see that your child's science book is covered and remind your child to bring their composition book and grading utensil to class each day.
