Presale tickets for Friday's football game vs. Lake are available in the high school office from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through Friday. Prices are $6 for adults and $4 students. All tickets are $6 at the gate.

Friday night's festivities will include alumni band and cheerleading night as well as the dedication of the Swanton football stadium to Coach David Hansbarger. The dedication ceremonies will take place before kickoff at approximately 6:45 pm.

Boosters to meet

The first Swanton Athletic Boosters first meeting of the new school year will be Wednesday It will be held at the Swanton Elks beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Former players invited

Former players of Dave Hansbarger are invited to Chuck Davis' (behind the middle school) house at 5:30 p.m. on Friday Aug. 22. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. Please bring your own beverage. The Hansbarger stadium dedication will take place before kickoff of the football game against Lake at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Register now for Corn Festival volleyball tourney

The Swanton Corn Fest will be hosting a double elimination volleyball tournament on Aug. 23. The cost will be $60 per team. A cash prize will be awarded to the winner. Space is limited to the first eight teams. Roster and the money is due by Wednesday, Aug. 20 for interested teams. Please contact Becky O'Shea at (419) 825-1476 for further details.

Alumni cheer night set

Swanton High School is sponsoring an Alumni Cheer Night at the first 2008 home football game on Aug. 22. Anyone who is interested in participating should contact cheerleading advisor Kerri Rochelle at (419) 825-5687 or rochellek@usa.redcross.org for more information.

Line judges needed
