Ruth Lenola

Heiden

Ruth Lenola Heiden, 99, of Wellington died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Allen Community Hospital after a short illness.

Born Dec. 17, 1908, she lived all her life in the Pittsfield area. Mrs. Heiden was a member of the Pittsfield Community Church, Farm Women's Club in Pittsfield and Russia Township and was also a member of Candle Wick and Sewing Clubs. She was a graduate of Wellington High School in 1927.

Mrs. Heiden is survived by her son, Kenneth Heiden of Wellington, daughter Jeanne Stanley of Elyria, brother Lester Sheffield of Elyria, sister Alma Hanson of Wellington, six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Lulu Pickworth Sheffield, husband Earl H. Heiden and brother Henry Sheffield.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 14, 2008, at Cowling Funeral Home in Oberlin with Pastor Kenneth L. Gerhardt of Pittsfield Community Church officiating.

Richard Frank

Hassa

Richard Frank Hassa died Thursday, July 10, 2008.

He was a devoted husband of Rae (Zadel) for over 64 years; loving father of Patricia Hunter (Jim), Joanne Yarnall (Bruce), and Jeanne Raczka (Donald); dear grandfather of Sandra Liptow (Joe), Steve Hunter (Clarise), Mary Beth Markey (Dan), Sharon Pollock (Gregg), Jennifer Yarnall, Daniel and David Raczka; and cherished great-grandfather of 10.

Mr. Hassa was a railroad conductor for 41 and a half years. Funeral Services were held at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel in North Olmsted on Monday, July 14, 2008. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Park.
