Varsity baseball awards given

The following students were named as receiving the 2008 Wellington Varsity Baseball Awards.

Kull McClurg, a senior was awarded 1st Team All-County, 1st Team All-Conference, Lorain County All-Star, NEOBCA All-Star, Mizuno All-Ohio All-Star (alternate), and Lorain County Mr. Baseball Honorable Mention.

Erick Saunders, a senior was awarded Lorain County Player of the Year (Division III & IV), 1st Team All-County, 1st Team All-Conference, Lorain County All-Star, NEOBCA All-Star and Academic All-Ohio.

Zach Suydam, a senior was awarded 1st Team All-County, 2nd Team All-Conference and Lorain County All-Star.

Blake Sword, a senior was awarded 1st Team All-County, 2nd Team All-Conference and Academic All-Ohio.

Tim Seabold, a senior was awarded 1st Team All-Conference.

Michael Gray, a senior was awarded All-County Honorable Mention.

Ryan Bliss, a freshman was awarded Honorable Mention All-County and Honorable Mention All-Conference.

The varsity roster includes Daniel Hrnchar, junior; Michael Whitney, junior; Tim Seabold, senior; Ryan Bliss, freshman; Kull McClurg, senior; Todd Hardoby, sophomore; Erick Saunders, senior; Donovan Maroney, junior; Blake Sword, senior; Michael Gray, senior; Justin Kidd, freshman; Zach Suydam, senior; Aaron Grimmett, junior; Roger Sasack, varsity coach; and Todd Hodkey, junior varsity coach.

The teams overall was 18-10; and PAC conference was 10-3.
