Volunteers needed to ring bell

Carol Zeiter and Aneta Harris chaperoned 52 eager campers to Camp NEOSA near Carrollton, Ohio, on July 17 through 22. Area girls and boys, ages six to 12 years of age from Vermilion, Huron, Amherst, Oberlin, Avon, Avon Lake, Grafton and Wellington enjoyed their five-day Christian camping experience. Geyer's and Village Market donated apples and snacks for the bus riders.

The Christmas Kettle Campaign will begin Saturday, Nov. 22 and run through Saturday, Dec. 22. Volunteers will ring again at Farm & Home Hardware, Geyer's, and Village Market for two hours. Their goal is $20,000 and they need to ring as many hours as possible to collect money for the community. Call 647-6109 to sign up. Donations can be sent anytime to The Salvation Army, 181 E. Herrick Ave., Wellington, Ohio 44090. To donate online go to www.onlineredkettle.orgwellington.

Yarn donations are still needed as well as volunteers to shovel or plow snow at The Salvation Army office. Call the office at 647-7600.

Any unused gift cards can be donated also.

The Salvation Army meetings are every second Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m.
