So much, so unexpected

To the editor:

I would like to thank the Wellington Soccer Association as well as all the people and businesses that helped put together the spaghetti dinner benefit for me that was held last month. Whether people gave their time or a donation it was very much appreciated as well as unexpected.

And the appreciation doesn't stop there. There were those that sent cards of encouragement as well as called and visited while I was hospitalized with Gullain-Barre' Syndrome. All of it has been an important factor in my path to what my doctor expects will be a full recovery within the next couple of years.

I never thought I would get something as obscure as GBS but I always knew I lived in a wonderful community. Words cannot accurately express my appreciation for that or for the people who live here. Thank you.

Hans Schneider
