This old photo, provided to The Enterprise, was purchased during the estate sale of Al Grimm, former curator of the Spirit of Ô76 Museum. On the lower left hand corner, there is a note which reads: Hugh Mosher, fifer in ÒThe Spirit of Ô76. The diner, long a part of Wellington's landscape, stopped within miles of the village on its way to Minnesota where it will debut as the Spud Boy eatery. It has been restored by Gordon Tindall, who bough the diner from Mike Engle of the American Diner Museum. Engle purchased the diner before it was demolished but was unable to complete the renovation. Cooke/Graule Studios) Students in grades 4-6 at McCormick Middle School were treated to an assembly presented by K-9 deputies from the Lorain County Sheriff's Office. The dogs, Kasper and Yasko, demonstrated their remarkable drug-finding and suspect-apprehending abilities. The assembly was part of Red Ribbon Week, a week in which the school community celebrates living drug-free lives and finding healthy alternatives to drugs and alcohol. Rochester United Methodist Church, which is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, is seen in early years when farm land surrounded it. Donald Maybaugh was a prisoner of war during World War II and is just now able to talk about the atrocities of war. Rochester United Methodist Church is celebrating its 175th anniversary. Firefighters utilize the aerial ladder truck to investigate a fire at a home on Findley Avenue.
