Shumyla, Quarando will marry July 19

Ty Shumyla of Amherst and Kim Shumyla of Elyria, announce the engagement of their daughter, Christine Marie, to Nicholas A. Quarando, son of John and Pamela Quarando of Amherst.

Ms. Shumyla is a 2002 graduate of Amherst Steele High School, and a 2006 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, where she received a bachelor's of science degree. She is employed as a special education teacher by Erie-Huron-Ottawa Educational Service Center.

Her fiancé is a 2002 graduate of Amherst Steele High School, and a 2006 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College where he received a bachelors of arts degree. He is employed as a health/physical education teacher by Brooklyn City Schools, Brooklyn.

A July 19, 2008, wedding is planned at St. Joseph Church in Amherst.
