Keep Walters on city council

To the editor:

I am writing to recommend that Amherst voters keep Dennis Walters on Amherst council next month. I have known Dennis for more than 10 years and can personally attest to his dedication and passion for the City of Amherst.

Dennis has lived in Amherst for more than 30 years. He raised three children in Amherst City Schools and he has retired here. In a time when people change cities at the drop of a hat, it is reassuring to know that Dennis is tied to the fabric of Amherst.

Dennis has also worked hard to improve Amherst as demonstrated by his involvement with the Amherst planning commission and his current tenure on Amherst City council. Because he has also lived here so long, he understands the city and the concerns of its citizens. He is always available to discuss any concern with any citizen.

Amherst residents should keep Dennis Walters on Amherst City council because he is a hard working public servant with a long and committed history to this city.
