Police Blotters for June 4 edition

April 21: Officers were dispatched to a residence on Elyria Avenue in reference to an assault complaint. Police spoke to an unidentified female complainant who stated another female struck her in the face and pulled her hair.

The suspect, Misty Brock, stated she did do those things to the complainant because she had thrown her dog across the room and when Brock tried to leave, the complainant confronted here and started verbally abusing Brock. At that time, Brock hit the complainant several times and pulled her hair.

Brock was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of assault. The argument stemmed around clothing in the complainant's dryer.

April 22: Officers were dispatched to a residence on North Main Street in reference to a domestic violence complaint.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an argument had ensued between a mother and daughter.

The mother had made several attempts to take her daughter's cell phone and the juvenile responded by striking her mother three times and then once again with a hair spray can.

The juvenile was eventually taken into custody and charged with one count each of unruly juvenile and domestic violence.

April 22, 11:03 p.m.: Officer Jacob Perez was flagged down by a female motorist on Park Avenue who had just left work at Amherst Hospital.

She said she had just seen a woman who appeared to be either sick or intoxicated walking eastbound through the emergency room parking lot.

Officer Perez then went to look for the woman and found her stumbling northbound on Spring Street. He noticed the woman was very unsteady on her feet and she almost fell over on several occasions.

The woman was found to be highly intoxicated and was then transported to Amherst Hospital for treatment. Charges are pending against her.

April 25, 7:18 p.m.: Officer Oehlstrom was dispatched to Target in reference to a suspicious vehicle complaint.

Oehlstrom found two unknown age boys drinking alcohol in their car. Both were arrested and each charged with one count of underage consumption and possession of tobacco.

April 26, 11:36 p.m.: Officer Rosebeck was patrolling the downtown area when he noticed a group of juveniles congregating on the east side of Dairy Mart.

One juvenile, a 15-year-old female, noticed the officer and quickly ducked down behind a clothing container in the back of the store so she couldn't be seen.

Rosebeck circled the building to make contact with the females and both were gone. While checking the area, he noticed two 15-year-old female juveniles exiting the alley on the west side of the store.

Once Rosebeck finally stopped the two, he found three packs of Black and Mild cigars, prescription drugs not belonging to either juvenile, several white pills in a clear plastic bag and several cold tablets in one of the juvenile's purses.

One of the juveniles was charged with violating curfew and possession of tobacco products, while the other juvenile was charged with only violating her curfew.

Drug possession charges are pending against the two teens. time.

April 29, 1:19 a.m.: Officer Perez was on patrol along Tenney Avenue when he noticed a silver Ford Taurus exiting city parking lot number three at a high rate of speed without coming to a stop before crossing the sidewalk and entering the roadway.

Officer Perez eventually stopped the vehicle and the driver, Michael Queen, was arrested and charged with one count of operating a vehicle while intoxication.

May 1, 11:48 p.m.: Officer Perez was patrolling West Martin Avenue when he saw the driver of a silver Hyundai Elantra fail to make a complete stop at the intersection with North Lake Street.

The driver, identified as Jessica Paige, proceeded to make a wide right turn onto North Lake Street, into the opposite lane of travel. She then briefly traveled in the middle of the roadway until swerving to the proper lane. He then initiated a traffic stop and after talking to Paige, Perez noticed she was highly intoxicated.

She was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, not driving a vehicle within marked lanes, a blood alcohol level over .008 percent, open container and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

May 3, 9:30 p.m.: Officer Oehlstrom was dispatched to a house on Sleepy Hollow Drive regarding a complaint of disturbing the peace, where they learned a group of juveniles were being loud and there was a lot of traffic from that residence.

As the officer approached the house, a number of juveniles exited the residence in several different directions.

Oehlstrom managed to apprehend two juveniles and assisted officers in catching another four.

After an investigation, it was learned the homeowners had gone to new York City and their youngest son had planned to have a party while they were gone.

While searching the house, officers located eight empty cases of beer, one partially empty case of beer and one empty bottle of rum.

The 15-year-old was charged with six counts of sales to underage persons.

Two 16-year-old boys were charged with one count each of both unruly child and underage consumption.

A 14-year-old boy was charged with underage consumption, obstruction of official business and unruly child.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with obstructing official business, underage consumption, unruly child, disturbing the peace and criminal trespass.

Another 15-year-old was charged with disturbing the peace, criminal trespass, unruly juvenile, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct and a 16-year-old girl was charged with one count of underage consumption.

May 3, 11:50 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a residence on Harris Street in reference to someone using drugs on a second floor balcony.

Upon arrival, three people, Clayton Scarvelli, Steven Zsigray and Kayla Roman were all arrested and charged with one count each of drug paraphernalia.
