Girls Rookie League
* July 19: (Championship game) Scott Iliff, D.D.S. Riverdogs defeated the Eischen Trucking Grasshoppers by a score of 13-23. Riverdogs with two or more hits include Gracen Siegenthaler (4), Hannah Dudziak, Emily Matakovich (4), Haylee Gillespie (3), Kate Iliff (4), Amanda Crisler (3), Abby Kachure, Jaden Szantay, Lauren Fessler, Delaney Stojkov, Brianna Rakar (3) and Kasey McGraw; and doubles by Gracen Siegenthaler and Kate Iliff. Grasshoppers with two or more hits include Marissa Poalson, Emily Eischen, Erika Eischen, Virginia Hughes, Karly McFarland (3), Hannah Ruth, Lilly Dempsey, Callahan Dolacki (3), Abby Plemmons (3), Elizabeth Hughes and Christy Cecil; and doubles by Virginia Hughes and Elizabeth Hughes.
Boys Rookie League
* July 21: (Championship game) The Mullinax Ford Scrappers scored seven unanswered runs after a 3-3 tie in the third inning and won the 2008 Amherst Rookie Boys Championship by a score of 10-3 against the Colella and Weir Diamond Jaxx. The Scrappers who finished the season with a 15-3 record were led defensively by Daniel Whitacre who made an amazing catch in left field during the fifth inning to deny any opportunity of a rally by the opposition. Other standouts defensively included Jake Hart, Kyle Hall, Jack Faight, Breyden Hatfield and Nick Keron. The Scrappers were fired up after seeing standout player Brennan Harrell suit up after missing most of the season with a broken arm. Scrappers hits include Jake Hart (4), Nick Keron (3 singles, 1 double), Kyle Hall (3), Breyden Hatfield (3), Hamza Rahman (3), Daniel Whitacre (3), Anthony Boles (3), Jack Faight (2) and Mike Houston (2). Diamond Jaxx with hits include Nick Nunez (3), Joey Carter (2 singles, 1 double), Ben Brogan (3), Eric Henderson (2), Gabe Solan (2), Nathan Soto (2), Axel Karohl (2) and Koltan Kocak (2).
