Steele golfers win second tourney; take first place in tri-meet.

The Amherst golf team won their second tournament of the season last week shooting a 328 at Avon Oaks Country Club. The Comets were led by medalist Matt Schneider who shot an even par round of 72.

The Comets also finished second last week at the Greyhawk Classic with a team total of 314. Schneider and Matt Jones both posted 77 and Adam Kalivoda had a 79. They are coached by Aaron Millet.

The team came in first last Wednesday in a tri-meet at Springvale Golf Club. Amherst shot 162, followed by Avon Lake, 167 and North Olmsted, 177.

Top scorers for Amherst were Paul Srnis 40, David Flynn 40, Matt Schneider 41, and Alex McCarty 41.
