The Comets are off to a slow start for the 2008 campaign.
"We've had so many injuries to so many of our key runners lately," coach Scott Snyder said.
"Gary Haglund and Kyle Lowry were our 1-2 runners during the 2007 cross country season and both missed the entire track season this past spring. Kyle is starting to come back slowly and Gary still has been unable to start his training. Hopefully everyone will be back healthy during the course of the season, he added."
Brecksville and Avon Lake look to be the toughest teams in the SWC. The Comets compete next in the Avon Lake Earlybird Meet at Lorain County Community College on Saturday.
