Time running out to make reservations

By JOANNE AUSTIN, director

Four County Young-At-Heart

Senior Center

You have seven more working days to get your reservation in for our catered dinner on Monday, Sept. 8. I need your name and money ($6) by Wednesday, Sept. 3. We hope you can attend. Remember the menu includes city chicken, buttered red potatoes, California blend vegetables, tossed salad, roll and brownie.

The board of trustees will meet Monday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. in regular session.

Health checks with the nurse from The Bellevue Hospital will be on Tuesday, Aug. 26 from noon-1:30 p.m. Free checks of blood pressure and sugar this time.

The card players will build their own sundaes at snack time this Tuesday, Aug. 26. That's not until 2 p.m. so you will have plenty of time to get your sugar checked first. It's good to plan ahead don't you think? All toppings and ice cream will be provided.

The building has undergone a thorough fall cleaning. The parking lot has also been sealed. We are getting ready for the new season coming up.

Speaking of fall -- school has started. Please drive carefully and watch for young ones who might suddenly appear before you.
