A crowd flocked to the Raccoon Creek Reservoir on June 19. (Submitted photograph)

Another fishy day in Clyde

Over 150 people attended the annual Kids Fishing Festival on June 19 at the Raccoon Creek Reservoir on South Main Street.

The Sandusky County Park District provided bait and loaner poles. The park district held a casting contest, along with fishing assistance and rod and reel repair.

The Clyde Recreation Department was also a sponsor, and the staff reported that 195 hot dogs along with other refreshments were provided to the crowd at the conclusion of the event.

OSS Solid Waste District had crafts with a recycling theme available for the kids.

Also popular this year were the "Big Catch" photos sponsored by S & J Travel.

While most kids had not heard of a "Polaroid", they sure enjoyed the 'instant' photo of their fish to take home, according to a press release.
