Early deadline
The Clyde Enterprise deadline for classifieds, advertisements, sports reports, news reports and lifestyle news is noon Thursday, July 3 for the Wednesday, July 9 issue of the newspaper.
The Enterprise office will be closed on Friday, July 4 for the holiday. The newspaper office has a dropbox at its 109 N. Main St. office for items to be dropped off evenings or weekends. The office will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Monday, July 7.
Closed for Fourth
Several local government and business offices have reported they will be closed on Friday, July 4.
*The Clyde Public Library will be closed on Independence Day. Those wishing to return library materials may do so in the book return in the library parking lot. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, July 5.
*The City of Clyde administrative offices at 222 N. Main St. will be closed on Friday.
*The Clyde-Green Springs school board office will also be closed Friday.
Fireworks dates set
Local and area 4th of July Fireworks Display dates are:
*Clyde, 10 p.m., Saturday, July 5.
*Green Springs, Friday, July 4.
*Bellevue, Community Days,
Sunday, June 29.
*Fremont, Friday, July 4.
*Woodville, Saturday, July 5.
Other activities in Clyde on July 5 will include free admission to the new aquatic center, games in the park, a volleyball tournament, cornhole tournament, DJ and bounce house.

The Clyde Enterprise has teamed up with MyNewsPhotos to offer photographs taken by our staff members in May and June for sale online.

It will link you to albums of our staff photographs from Prom, 2008 Graduation at Clyde High School, spring sports and more. Many photographs have never appeared in print. More albums will be added was our staff photographs upcoming special events, parades and sports.
Meeting change
The Green Creek Township Trustees have set only one monthly meeting for July, August and September due date conflicts. The meetings will be July 24, Aug. 28 and Sept. 25.
Commission openings
There are seats open on both the Clyde Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission.
Interested applicants should send a letter stating their interest in either board to City Manager Dan Weaver at 222 N. Main St.
BZA hearing
A public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. July 14 in the Clyde city building second floor conference room by the board of zoning appeals.
the board will hear a variance application by John Van Doren, 101 Tara Drive, to build a 72-inch high solid vinyl fence instead of the 42 inch maximum height fence.
It would extend from the front line of an attached garage, on the south side front yard on Wilson Drive extend 4 feet into the front yard and then east along the front yard 54 feet to the north and back north 4 feet to the garage
