St. Mary's honors Dell winners
The Debra Dell Foundation $100 scholarship winners at St. Mary's School for 2008 are Kacee Hemby, Leasha Bailey, Heidi Marshall, Jeremy Booth, Chloe Liebold and Emma Steinbauer. The winners were named on Friday, May 30.
The Debra Dell Foundation was established in March of 2005 in memory of the late Debra Dell who lost her battle with cancer on Sept. 11, 2004, according to a press release.
*Jeremy Booth is the son of Doug and Karen Booth. He is in the third grade. He attends Vacation Bible School, attends PSR and helps with the church festival. He does readings in church, helps with the Santa breakfast as well as the pork chop dinners. He competes in the school spelling bee and weekly banking program.
*Chloe Liebold is the daughter of Eric and Michelle Liebold. She is in the fourth grade. She is in student council, track and Rocket Club. She volunteers to work in the school cafeteria and parish fish fry's.
*Emma Steinbauer is the daughter of Bill and Tami Steinbauer. She is in the fifth grade. She participates in student council, Rocket Club, basketball, Yearbook Club, class officer, altar server, band and cafeteria worker.
*Kacee Hemby is the daughter of John and Cheri Hemby. She is a first grader. She participates in the parish Christmas Eve Mass, helps with BoxTop collection and visits Arbor's Nursing residents.
*Leasha Bailey is the daughter of Tom and Lynne Bailey. She is a second grader. She goes to Arbor's Nursing Home to visit patients and takes part in the school fundraisers.
*Heidi Marshall is the daughter of Marc and Heather Marshall. She is in the second grade. She is a member of the student council and attends Mass weekly. She was a ball girl for the boys fifth and sixth basketball team. She helps tutor other classmates. She visits residents at Arbor's Nursing Home. She was one of the BoxTop for education winner.
