NBOH celebrates 74 yrs

Stop by The National Bank of Oak Harbor on Thursday, July 3rd when they celebrate their tradition of customer service and hometown banking.

A "Community Appreciation Day" will be held at all four full service locations: Oak Harbor, Curtice, Port Clinton and Oregon. Members of the Board of Directors, along with the staff, will be serving hot dogs on the grill from 11:00 to 2:00 to show their appreciation for 74 years of support from their customers and the community. Be sure and stop by, visit with "People You Know, People You Can Trust". There will be a special drawing and giveaways at all four locations.

Established in 1934, The National Bank of Oak Harbor is an independent, locally-owned and operated community bank with four full service offices and a mortgage loan office located in Fremont, Ohio.

4-H Chicken BBQ

The annual Ottawa County 4-H Chicken BBQ will be held Sunday, July 6th from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, SR 163 east of Oak Harbor. Dine in and drive thru will be available. Cost of the meals will be 1/2 dinner - $7.50 and 1/4 dinner - $6.50. Come out and support the youth of Ottawa County as they continue to "Make the Best Better!"

OC County Farmers Union picnic

The Ottawa County Farmers Union will have their annual summer picnic, Wednesday, July 9th at 6:30 p.m. at Graytown Park. The public is invited. Bring a covered dish to share and your own table service. The beverages will be furnished. O.F.U. president, Roger Wise will be present plus other guests. County officials have been invited to participate and comment. Please ask a friend and come join us for an evening of fellowship.

Log Cabin entertainment

Performing at the Oak Harbor Log Cabin on Sunday, June 29th from 6:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m. will be Steve Muncy. Steven has been playing piano for 21 years and specializes in Dixieland Jazz. Steve was tutrored by the New Orleans Great, John Royen. Steven plays for different occasions around the Port Clinton and Sundusky areas. Mark your clanedar and come on out and listen to some good old Dixieland.

Community patio picnic for diabetics and family

Magruder Hospital is hosting a picnic for all diabetics and family members on Thursday, July 10, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., on the Fulton Street Café patio. There will be a cooking demo and a recipe tasting, in addition to a delicious meal and the cost is $6 per person. An RSVP is required and can be done by purchasing a meal ticket in the Fulton Street Café anytime before July 3rd.

Erie Twp. Fire Dept. Chicken barbecue

Erie Twp. Volunteer Fire Department in LaCarne, Ohio will be holding their 40th annual chicken barbecue on June 29, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Erie Twp. Fire Station. Donation is 1/2 chicken for $7.00. Drive thru and carry out will be available.
