Youth Group Alumni sings
The Youth Group Alumni will be conducting the church service at St Paul Lutheran Church on Co. Rd. 17, Oak Harbor, this Sunday, June 28th at 9:00 am. This group was formed in 1970, as teenagers, and conducted services at area churches and sang together for about a 4 year period, during which, they cut and sold a record album entitled "Beautiful Words". Norm Witt is the guitar accompanist for this group.
Golf scramble
Sons of the American Legion Post #114 located at 221 Park Street in Oak Harbor is sponsoring the 16th annual Golf Scramble on June 28, 2009 at Oak Harbor Golf Club with 8 a.m. Shotgun start. Cost is $60 per man/$240 per team which includes a pork loin dinner to be served at the American Legion Post. Interested persons may sign up at the American Legion Post from 4 to 8 p.m. on Fridays or by calling Art Blausey, Jr. at 419-898-9756. The first 32 teams registered before June 20th are guaranteed a position. Prizes include first $240, 2nd $120, and 3rd $60.
Township Hall
The old Carroll Township Hall will be open to the public from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the following Saturdays this summer: June 27, July 11 and 25, August 8 and 22. A number of historical articles as well as old photographs are housed in the building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. The Hall is located on West Toussaint East Road directly across from the end of Behlman Road.

Genoa Farmers' Market
Saturday, June 27, 2009, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local resident Linda Ornellas will sponsor the market with a Great American Bake Sale. This bake sale is involved with a national campaign sponsored by The Food Network and Family Circle magazine. 100% of the proceeds from this bake sale go to help feed hungry, local American children.
