Cheaper By The Dozen casting call
Lakeside Summer Stage is excited to announce for the 2009 season that they will be staging Cheaper By The Dozen July 28 and 30, directed by Brenda Bou Sliman.
This much loved story was written by Frank Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey and adapted by Christopher Sergel. The story takes place in the 1920s with Gilbreth, one of the great pioneers of industrial efficiency, applying his unorthodox methods to raising his large family. The results are terribly embarrassing, funny, and extremely effective.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 27, at 3 p.m., in the Upper Room on Second St., Lakeside. There are many adult roles including the father and mother, the doctor, the teacher, and the housekeeper. There are several young adult roles of the eldest daughter and two male friends. And of course there are many children's roles ranging in age from six years old to teenagers. Children should be at least six years old and able to read.
Please bring a photo with contact information written on the back. No gate fee charged to audition. Please park at the main gate on St. Rt. 163 and take the shuttle to Second St.
