Cool day to pick strawberries

Anguel Damico from Willoughby Hills was out picking strawberries at John Tracey Farm on Tuesday. Anguel lives in Marblehead in the summer and was helping his mom pick the berries to make a dessert,. He said that Wednesday is his 12th birthday and he was hoping for something with strawberries for his birthday cake. John Tracey, owner of Tracey FArm said that the plants were loaded with strawberries this year, but they were smaller in size, due to the amount of berries on each plant. Tracey said that the strawberries have good flavor and there is only about a week left before they will be done for the season. (Photo by Pat Lukac)
