Light of Hope award winners
On April 17, the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office presented the annual Light of Hope award to Marc Nye, deputy sheriff, Patrol Division (left), and Mark Meisler, detective sergeant, Danbury Township Police Department (right). The award is for outstanding service rendered to crime victims during the prior year and nominations are submitted from countywide law enforcement departments. Victims who received compassionate service from the officer tending to their situation determine a substantial portion of the award criteria.
