The Danbury Lady Lakers sixth grade girls basketball team started off their season this past weekend playing New London. The girls did a great job and came out with a win 16-6. Nicole Oglesbee scored 10 points, Megan Stephens had five points and Ally Kennedy chipped in one point. It was a great effort by all. The fifth and sixth grade girls will play this weekend at home starting at noon. Temperatures dropped to below zero and the wind chill at times was -12. (Photo by Pat Lukac) Many homes on the peninsula were all decked out for the holidays. This yard included Santa and his reindeers and is located in Perry View Estates. (Photo by Pat Lukac) These two squirrels were chasing each other around the tree in Lakeside last Friday afternoon.
