Craig Cameron's
Extreme Cowboy Race Returns
The Extreme Cowboy Race -- as seen on RFD-TV -- is a competition in which horses and riders will work through an obstacle course while being timed and judged on their abilities. Top competitors will receive cash and other fabulous prizes.
What Is The Extreme Cowboy Race?
Craig Cameron will not only present clinics at the 2008 Equine Affaire in Columbus, but he will also conduct his Extreme Cowboy Race on Saturday and Sunday at the event. The Extreme Cowboy Race -- as seen on RFD-TV -- is a timed and judged race through an obstacle course that is designed not only to push horse and rider teams out of their traditional "comfort zones," but also to test communication between horse and rider and the horsemanship skills and athletic abilities of each competitor. Spectators will find the competition exciting and entertaining to watch while contenders addressed its challenges in a race for thousands in cash, other great prizes, and the title of "Extreme Cowboy Race Champion."

Enthusiastic attendees will enjoy four full days of seminars and hands-on demonstrations at the Bella Sara Seminar Stage, the Exiss Demo Ring in the Buckeye Building, and the Arabian Horse Association Demo Ring in the Celeste Center. Industry experts will present non-stop sessions on a wide variety of horse management, health, and training topics relevant to horse enthusiasts from amateurs to seasoned professionals.
Trade Show
Equine Affaire will host the largest trade show of any horse exposition in the United States featuring hundreds of the nation's leading equine-related retailers and manufacturers. Attendees will browse through acres of equine products and services ranging from tack, riding apparel, and grooming supplies to farm equipment, gifts, and books. Equine Affaire is the best place to shop for everyone's horse-related needs.
Cashman Breed Pavilion
The Cashman Breed Pavilion will feature exhibit booths and stalls where attendees were able to see, touch, and learn more about a wide variety of breeds. Individual breeds will be represented by their associations as well as a rotating cast of selected stallions, mares, and geldings. The Horse and Farm exhibits will feature a vast number of stallions, horse breeding farms, and training facilities.
EQUINE AFFAIRE
BREED DEMONSTRATIONS
Breed demonstrations are a very important and popular part of Equine Affaire's education-oriented program. Just as the training clinics provide a sampling of a wide variety of horse sports, the breed demonstrations enhance the production by showing the diversity of horses within our vast horse industry. They are also an outstanding opportunity for members of each horse breed and color registry to showcase conformation, gaits, varied talents, and virtues of horses of their individual breed or color.
What is a "breed demonstration"
at Equine Affaire?
A breed demonstration is a mini-production created by the specific breed association, in which horses are presented in hand, under saddle, in harness, and in whatever manner deemed appropriate for the particular breed or color of horse. The presentation of horses is accompanied by a script written by the breed association and read by the Equine Affaire announcer; it may also be accompanied by music. A breed demo reflects the style and character of the breed or horse color being showcased.
How many breed demonstrations will be
scheduled at Equine Affaire and
how long will they be?
Because Equine Affaire's schedule of training clinics is very full, there is a limit to the number of breed demonstrations which can be accommodated within the schedule. Each horse breed will be given the opportunity to present one breed demonstration in one of the main clinic arenas during the weekend. Individual demonstrations are up to 13 minutes each, depending on the number of participants in the demo and the needs of each breed.
All questions regarding breed demonstrations and the Breed Pavilion at Equine Affaire should be directed to the Breed Coordinator.
Young Rider Youth Pavilion
Horsey kids of all ages will convene at the Young Rider Youth Pavilion. In addition to educational and horse-related youth association exhibits, the Young Rider Youth Pavilion will feature presentations throughout each day by many of the horse industry's most popular educators, demonstrations of various horse breeds, plenty of fun activities for kids, and a Breyer Celebrity Horse Showcase.
