Area woman dies in accident

The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a one-vehicle accident June 25 in Harding Township that killed a Delta woman.

Elizabeth V. Carroll, 37, was southbound on State Route 295 at approximately 10:35 a.m. when her 2003 Jeep Wrangler attempted to turn east onto Old State Line Road. The vehicle exited the right side of the road and overturned.

Carroll, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is not considered a factor.

The Lucas County Sheriff's Office, the Swanton Fire Department and Lucas County Life Squad 10 assisted at the scene.
