Bremkes celebrate marriage milestone
Myron and Verna (Ruprecht) Bremke were married Nov. 15, 1958, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Westlake, Ohio.
Mr. Bremke is retired and was self-employed in construction and farming. Mrs. Bremke has always been a homemaker and is presently a volunteer receptionist at Allen Hospital in Oberlin. They are members of Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin and have resided in Elyria and New Russia Township the entire 50 years of marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Bremke enjoy dancing and attending the Lorain County Fair, watching achievements of all 4-H members.
The couple have four sons, Dean (Beth), Duane (Jenny), and David (Laura), all of Wellington, and Darren (Karen) of Elyria; 16 grandchildren, Raymond (April), Kyle, Myles, Matthew, Mason, Morgan, Brandon, Adam, Lynn, Meghan, Taylor, Rachel, Madison, Sarah, Alaine and Paige.
In celebration of their anniversary an open house will be held at New Russia Township Hall, 46268 Butternut Ridge Rd. in Oberlin on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with special music by Ed Klimczak. The couple request no gifts, only to share the special day with them.
