Davidsons celebrate 50th anniversary
Jim and Teresa Davidson of Wellington will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on June 21, 2008. They were married on June 21, 1958 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Mansfield, Ohio.
Mr. Davidson was born in Dayton, Ohio, and raised in Ft. Laramie. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. After serving his country he came back to Dayton where he attended the University of Dayton and completed his degree in electrical engineering.
Teresa (nee Smith) Davidson was born and raised in Mansfield as well. After high school she continued her education at Good Samaritan School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse in 1956.
Jim and Teresa meet in Dayton at a Young Adults meeting. Upon marriage they moved to Lima, Ohio, and started their family. The Davidson family of eight then moved to Wellington in 1971. Jim worked as a computer operator at the FFA in Oberlin and Teresa worked as a registered nurse at the Elms Nursing Home. The couple have six children, 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
