Girls win first sectional title

The Wellington High School girls soccer team upset the No. 4 seeded Hillsdale Falcons in action last week to win the Division II Brunswick Sectional final for the first time in the school's history.

The Lady Dukes won decisively in a 4-0 shutout.

Morgan Ziegler scored two goals and joined her sister Jacoby Ziegler with an assist for another goal, and Molly Kulp scored the fourth.

Goalkeeper Jackie Bankston is credited with saves that kept the team in the action.

The Lady Dukes will play the winner of the Hoban-Northwestern game played yesterday.
