Woman shot at home in Camden Township

Last Thursday night, a woman was shot in her home at 18709 Guilford Road in Camden Township and was taken by Life Flight to MetroHealth in Cleveland with serious injuries. Jessica Tyrone, 24, is hurt but is expected to recover, according to the Lorain County Sheriff's Office.

David Underwood, 20, of North Ridgeville and Cadea Weaver, 20, of Lorain were drinking with Tyrone at her home, according to the sheriff.

Underwood fired a 12-gauge shotgun, apparently accidentally, and Tyrone was hit in the leg, arm, abdomen and face. Both men are in jail, but the sheriff's department does not believe the shooting was intentional.

Underwood is in custody, charged with obstructing official business, underage consumption, handling a weapon while intoxicated, and negligent assault. Weaver is charged with underage consumption.

Unless there is a change in Tyrone's condition, the sheriff's department said no additional charges are pending.
